Annette "Micki" Perkins-Ahler, 65, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015. A Frankfort native, Micki was a member of the Baptist church and attended the Catholic church. Following her retirement from the Dept. of Medicaid, she worked yearly for the Legislative Research Commission during legislative sessions. Micki is survived by her husband of twenty years, Daniel "Dan" Joseph Ahler; her sons, Timothy James Wilson (Stephanie) and Jeffrey Douglas Wilson (Tina), both of Frankfort; three beautiful and beloved grandchildren, Alexis and Michael Wilson of Frankfort and Jolie Wilson of St. Augustine, FL; two brothers, Kenneth Byford Perkins of Frankfort and John Jacob Perkins (Karen) of Louisville; her sister, Cathy Lynn Padilla (Abe) of Frankfort; six nephews; two nieces; her life-long friend, Arlene Monroe Johnson; a host of family members and friends; and her beloved fur babies Otis and Jesse. She was the daughter of the late George E. Perkins and Pauline "Polly" Lancaster Perkins. A celebration of Micki's life will be held at Rogers Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday with visitation preceding at 5:00 p.m. In accordance with her wishes, her body will be cremated following the services. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Dept. of Veterans Affairs at www.volunteer.va.gov.
